  43.                     Preferences screen.  It used to be that WML
  44.                     considered an address valid if it had a zip code or
  45.                     a street address, and you could either turn valid
  46.                     address checking ON or OFF.  Now there are four
  47.                     settings.  Check the General Prefs screen and press
  48.                     F1 (Help) for detailed info.
  49.                 Changed the Random Selection window to work with the
  50.                     new 4-function Valid Address Checking setting.

  87.                     had the same zip code.  Now it will only report an
  88.                     entry as a duplicate if the address lines match,
  89.                     including blank ones.

  107. II. INSTALLATION NOTES
  108. ──────────────────────
  109.     All of the files contained within the archive you received (either
  110. an EXE, ARJ, or ZIP file) must be placed within a single directory.
  111. Your data files may reside in any directory or on any disk drive.  See
  112. the "List of files" section below for files which may be removed if
  113. disk space is limited.
  114.  
  115. Installing on Floppy Disk
  116. ─────────────────────────
  117.     WML can be run from a 720k (or greater) floppy disk although it will
  118. access data and operate very slowly.  When using floppy disks, it is a
  119. wise idea to have an archival copy (a "master") apart from the one you
  120. use daily (the "working" copy).  Use the DISKCOPY command to make a
  121. working copy of a floppy disk, if necessary.

  123. Documentation Files
  124. ───────────────────
  125.     If you have WordPerfect 5, just load WML.WP.  Instructions to reformat
  126. and print are in a comment at the top of the file.  If you don't have
  127. WordPerfect or a way to convert the WML.WP file to your word processor,
  128. then just "TYPE WML.TXT > PRN" at the DOS prompt.  WML.TXT is an ASCII
  129. file generated from WordPerfect for a "standard printer" and this command
  130. will send it to the printer on port LPT1:.  You can substitute the "PRN"
  131. with "LPTx:" where the "x" is 1, 2, or 3.

  134. III. UPCOMING FEATURES
  135. ──────────────────────
  136.  
  137. I have a huge list of planned enhancements to WML.  Suggestions from
  138. users are very welcome & appreciated.  Here are just a few of the
  139. enhancement plans for WML:
  140.  
  141. ■  Ability to prepare a disk to send to P.O. for zip code correction and
  142.    9-digit expansion.  Although WML has a fixed-field ASCII export, it
  143.    does not yet meet U.S. Post Office requirements.
  144.  
  145. ■  Have a single "master return address" and then a seperate return
  146.    address for each file.  If the file has a return address set, then
  147.    ask for choice; otherwise use master.
  148.  
  149. ■  Add a field for Internet (or other network) address
  150.  
  151. ■  Ability to define an optional group file so that separate group
  152.    definitions can be associated with a list.  This would make it easy
  153.    to sell a list with its associated groupings or to view a limited
  154.    number of groups for a given file.
  155.  
  156. ■  Group report which shows number of entries in each group for a given
  157.    mailing list (skipping groups with zero entries).
